Over the course of my career as a trial lawyer, I have recovered millions of dollars both for individuals and for some of the nation’s largest companies. I also have successfully defended some of the largest companies in the nation against claims worth tens of millions of dollars while a partner at Howrey LLP - one of the largest, most prestigious law firms in the world. My experience as a trial lawyer for both plaintiffs and defendants, gives me a unique insight into corporate defense strategy with respect to trial, litigation and settlement in the battle against the asbestos industry. I understand how to successfully counter the defense tactics of corporate defendants. I also have a special expertise in the trial of cases involving products liability and other complex torts. Both my litigation and trial experience involves intricate and challenging science or cutting edge technical information. I am able to help juries understand even the most complex cases in fundamental and compelling terms. My national trial and litigation practice includes representation of clients in state and/or federal courts in California, Texas, Delaware, Washington, Hawaii, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, New York, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

I now exclusively represent individuals and their families in their fight for compensation and justice for the unspeakable and catastrophic harm inflicted upon these individuals and families by manufacturers and others who put profits over safety and basic human decency in the manufacturing, distribution and use of asbestos.,

I was born in California and grew up in both California and New Jersey. After high school, I enlisted in the United States Army (basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, AIT at Army Security Agency Training Center and School (Intelligence and Security Command, MOS 05G, crypto security specialist) ultimately on assignment to the 101st Military Intelligence Battalion). I attended college with help from the GI Bill of Rights and academic scholarships. I began my career as a lawyer trying cases for the Los Angeles County District Attorney and then moved on to the prestigious law firms of Heller, Ehrman, Townsend and Towsend and, ultimately, Howrey.
