Chemical Exposure Litigation

The Firm has successfully handled a number of cases involving exposure to toxic chemicals, such as benzene, benzidine, beryllium, chlorine gas, bis-chloromethylether (BCME), sulfuric acid, asbestos, lead and latex allergens.

For example, Mr. Rosario, a 53 year old client, was exposed to BCME (bis-chloromethylether) at the Diamond Shamrock ion-exchange resin manufacturing plant in Redwood City, California. This exposure caused terminal lung cancer. After a 16 week trial the jury awarded Mr. Rosario $4,656,666. Following this jury award, Mr. Rosario's case and those of nine of his co-workers at the Diamond Shamrock plant who also developed lung cancer, were successfully resolved by The Firm without further trial.
