Asbestos & Health - Learning the History

I am pleased to announce a new feature on the web site. I first started studying the asbestos medical and scientific literature in 1974, when I filed my first asbestos cases in court. Over the years I have read thousands of articles and sometimes have gone back to read "old favorites" over and over again. As interesting as that is, it doesn't quite match the excitement of discovering the literature for the first time.

But now we are going to be able to share that excitement with you, as we introduce our newest informational resource—an ongoing series of notes and articles exploring how the knowledge about the dangers of asbestos developed over time. These articles were written by a former Kazan Law partner, new to the world of asbestos, shortly after she joined the firm. So, explore the first article about one of the earliest public warnings of asbestos danger from 1898..

Our firm sponsors an information and research resource about global asbestos issues in an effort to collect in one place a lot of the important current materials and literature—www.WorldAsbestosReport.org. In a new special section on that web site titled Asbestos History Archives, we will post the original articles in readily downloadable PDF format. Links to these PDF's will be included in the articles and can be accessed either via the article or directly at www.WorldAsbestosReport.org.
