Programs & Bar Associations
Since its founding in 1974, Kazan, McClain, Satterley & Greenwood, A Professional Law Corporation, has represented many hundreds of people with cancer, especially people suffering from mesothelioma, a cancer whose only known cause is exposure to asbestos. Some of the principals in this law firm are pioneers in asbestos litigation and among the most experienced mesothelioma lawyers in the United States.
In addition to our support and participation in the international effort to ban asbestos and protect the rights’ of asbestos victims, we operate a national law practice from our office in California, representing people from all over the US. We offer each prospective client a free consultation, our unsurpassed skill based on over 35 years of experience and our commitment to participate in contributing to funding research with any of our clients who desire to use some of their resources in that effort.
Kazan Law’s Commitment to Research
The Kazan, McClain, Abrams, Fernandez, Lyons, Greenwood, Oberman, Satterley & Bosl Foundation, Inc, has awarded more than $4 million in grants for medical research to find a cure for mesothelioma. We have been active in the fight against asbestos and has long supported the international efforts to ban its use. We have disbursed over $15 million in grants to an array of community and civic organizations to support research into causes of, treatment for, and prevention of occupational and environmental diseases, increase and improve public awareness about work-place health and safety, and provide relief to the poor.
We sponsor World Asbestos Report to provide an online resource center for all those working around the world to ban future use of asbestos, improve working conditions for those who continue to be exposed to asbestos on the job, reduce exposures to those who live or work in the vicinity of others using asbestos, encourage progress in the diagnosis and treatment of asbestos-related diseases, and otherwise help all those seeking to protect and vindicate the rights of asbestos victims throughout the world.
The Kazan, McClain, Abrams, Fernandez, Lyons, Greenwood, Oberman, Satterley & Bosl Foundation has provided significant support for the international efforts to ban asbestos use, much of which has been channeled through IBAS, established in 2000 to provide a conduit for the exchange of information between groups and individuals working to achieve a global asbestos ban and seeking to alleviate the damage caused by widespread asbestos use.
